ABOUT US

There are almost as many reasons to outsource your IT projects to Brazil as there are Brazilian firms waiting to take on your projects and deliver exceptional results. But rather than write that much, we’ll focus on a few of the reasons many American companies find most attractive.

  • Close proximity to the U.S. makes Brazil far more desirable as an outsourcing destination than any of the distant Asian markets. Depending on the time of year, Brazil is just one to three hours ahead of New York.
  • Brazil is by far South America’s biggest (180 million people) and most influential country. It enjoys the world’s eighth-largest economy and offers a labor pool of more than 83 million educated workers.
  • The country as a whole is experiencing tremendous technological growth.  A recent study conducted by eMarketer confirmed that Brazil now has the third-largest number of broadband lines in the Americas, behind only the US and Canada.
  • Brazilian culture is good fit with American culture. Brazil wants to work with America and enjoys many of the same values, principles and social systems that we do in the States.
  • The country has cutting-edge IT skills and a solid track record with government-sponsored IT projects.
  • Brazil boasts a $10 billion IT market. They’re doing something right.
  • In 2004, Brazilian IT heavyweights CPM, Datasul, DBA, Itautec, Politec and Stefanini created BRASSCOM to help promote the export of IT services for its current roster of 3,265 IT firms.
  • After sluggishness in the 1980s and 1990s, Brazil’s economy is becoming truly robust, particularly with its new Brazilian Payment System (SBS) – Sistema de Pagamentos Brasileiro, which is one of the most advanced in the world.
  • Who else has offshore centers in Brazil? IBM, Unisys, Hewlett-Packard, EDS, Accenture, Deloitte, Motorola, Intel, Nokia. These companies know something about quality and process, and they rely on Brazil to deliver it.

What others are saying

  • “Brazil is no longer an ‘alternative,’ but an important part of any organization’s global (outsourcing) strategy.” Frank J. Casale, founder and CEO, The Outsourcing Institute.
  • “With a spate of information-technology deals, Brazil appears poised to be Latin America’s big winner in the global outsourcing boom.” Wall Street Journal, Jan. 25, 2007.
  • In the same article, the Journal calls Brazil “the top choice for staffing big ‘factories,’ industry lingo for the campus-like centers where workers monitor computer systems, write software or handle calls.”
